Relax with Personalized Dentistry
No two patients are exactly the same, so your dental care needs to be tailored to fit your needs. Our dental team will put you first—you can relax and watch your favorite show as we take care of your teeth. We also offer sedation dentistry services to accommodate patients with severe dental fear or anxiety.
Comprehensive Oral Exams
Our office uses standard and digital x-rays to examine your mouth for oral health issues. Using intraoral images and x-rays we identify current dental problems and preventatively screen your teeth for future decay and periodontal disease.
Each comprehensive exam is different—we’ll tailor your exam to fit your needs and medical history.
Regular dental cleanings are necessary to maintain healthy teeth and oral tissues. Our office utilizes the latest technology, including ultrasonic cleaners to clean above and below the gum line. A thorough dental cleaning removes calcified plaque—tartar—and embedded oral bacteria.
Ultrasonic cleaners are highly effective and gentle, so you can get the treatment you need without pain and anxiety.
Laser Dental Hygiene Therapy
Periodontal disease, often called gum disease, is the leading cause of tooth loss among adult patients. Emerging research also shows that chronic bacterial gum infections have increase a patient’s risk of serious health problems including:
- Heart Disease
- Certain cancers, including pancreatic cancer
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Complications controlling blood sugar levels in diabetes
- Low birth weight babies
- Premature birth
Laser dental therapy is the most conservative gum disease treatment available—using laser therapy we kill oral bacteria without traumatizing gum tissues. Laser gum therapy disinfects gum tissues, eliminates infected tissues, and promotes natural gum tissue healing.
Oral Cancer Screenings
As part of your comprehensive exams and dental cleanings we offer thorough oral cancer screenings. Tobacco use, UV exposure, alcohol use, and HPV can all increase your risk of contracting oral cancer. Oral cancer affects almost 35,000 Americans each year—the good news is that it is very treatable when identified in its early stages.
Our office uses the VELscope hand held light device for oral cancer screenings. The VELscope allows us to visually identify cancerous tissues—they appear darker than healthy tissues when exposed to the light of the VELscope. Oral cancer screenings are faster and more comfortable than ever before.
Dr. Lodhia is a certified sedation dentist, who can help you get the treatment you need without unnecessary anxiety! Using oral conscious sedation diminishes the body’s natural tendency to tense muscles, so dental treatments are easier and more effective—this greatly reduces the physical and mental stress you experience in the dentist’s chair.
Oral conscious sedation involves taking a pill that will relax you before your appointment. You’ll drift comfortably through treatment—many patients don’t even remember their appointments when they’re done!
Dr. Lodhia is an experienced, gentle oral surgeon providing treatment to correct a number of common dental problems, including:
- Wisdom teeth extraction
- Dental implant treatment and maintenance
- Bone grafting
- Tooth extractions
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy can save the functionality and the appearance of a damaged tooth. When the inner core of your tooth—the dental pulp—is damaged or infected, it will hurt, swell, and eventually die. Over time the infection from your tooth can actually spread to your jawbone and sinuses.
When we perform root canal therapy we remove the infected dental pulp, and sterilize the damaged tooth. We then hermetically seal the tooth and restore it with a dental crown.
When your temporomandibular joint—the joint that connects your skull and your lower jaw—becomes irritated/injured you may experience symptoms of TMJ dysfunction.
Dr. Lodhia provides gentle, non-invasive treatments for TMJ dysfunction. We alleviate TMJ symptoms using neuromuscular dentistry. Our neuromuscular treatments allow your jaw to relax and bring your bite into better alignment. When your bite is in its optimal position and the muscles are calm and relaxed, your pain will be relieved and will feel better than you ever thought possible!
Emergency Dentistry Treatment
Although you may not be able to anticipate a dental emergency, you can make a proactive plan in case you ever sustain dental damage. Our office is here for you in case of dental emergency—if you unexpectedly crack, chip, or lose a tooth seek treatment immediately.
Tooth Colored/Composite Fillings
Our office uses mercury-free, tooth-colored composite fillings to restore your teeth and preserve the brilliance of your smile. Unlike traditional mercury fillings, white composite fillings blend seamlessly with your natural enamel. And since composite fillings are bonded directly to your tooth, they preserve the strength of your tooth rather than compromising it.
Dental crowns cover a damaged tooth—restoring its functionality and appearance. Crowns can be used to fix dental damage and injury and to anchor dental bridges and dentures.
Dental Bridges and Dentures
If you’re missing teeth, you may be able to benefit from a dental bridge or denture.
A dental bridge consists of a false tooth or false teeth that are held in place by crowns on either side. Our bridges are fixed, so they stay in place and feel secure.
Dentures are fake teeth that sit on top of the gum line, and are held in place with dental adhesive. Our office offers partial, complete, and dental implant-supported dentures. Dr. Lodhia’s custom-crafted dentures fit securely and look natural to help you eat, speak, and smile with confidence and comfort.
Whether you’re missing a single tooth or a row of your smile, dental implants can help you smile and live with confidence again. Dental implants are unique replacement teeth that mimic the structure of natural teeth. These replacement teeth are surgically embedded into the jawbone—grounded with titanium screws.
Here’s what makes dental implants exceptional replacement teeth—the titanium root of your dental implant will bond with your natural bone over time. This not only provides a stable foundation for your restoration, it also helps you preserve jawbone strength and density.
With dental implants you’ll be able to eat, speak, and smile with ease! Dental implants are truly the most symbiotic replacement teeth available.
